Hi, I’m Hope, and I’d love to be friends.
I’m a Mama to six kids (five this side of heaven), ranging from teens to toddlers.
I love to drink coffee, especially if it’s made in our old fashioned stove top percolator.
I’m the pastor’s wife and Children’s Ministry Director at a small urban church across the river from downtown Manhattan.
I have degree in Elementary Education, as well as English.
I taught Bilingual Pre-K before I had kids.
I have a Masters degree from Western Seminary.
Before I lived here, my husband and I started a house church network in Florida.
I (almost) completed a dance minor before I graduated college.
And one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is sitting down to chat with a friend and a cup of coffee.
But enough about me. Let’s talk about you. Who are you? What gets you most excited about being a Mom? What are you passionate about?
There’s this Frederick Buechner quote that I love….
‘The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.’
Where do you find your deep gladness, Mama? And how does that affect your day to day motherhood?
You know the Annie Diller quote…
“How we spend our days, is, of course, how we spend our lives.”
Let’s journey together and look at how we are spending our days, Mama, so that when we look back at the measure of them, we will be thankful for how we spent our lives. I’m sharing my journey here as encouragement to you, and cheering you on, cup of coffee in hand, as day by day you take steps to become the Mama that you were created to be.
